SUMMIT CITY’S STORY
THIS GROUP OF YOUNG ADULTS DECIDED TO TAKE MATTERS INTO THEIR OWN HANDS AND START A ROCK CLIMBING GYM. IT'S ABOUT TIME SOMEONE ACTUALLY BUILT A ROCK CLIMBING GYM FOR FORT WAYNE.

When Edwin moved from California to Fort Wayne, he missed the adventure California offered. He would crave the thrill of a climb, especially during the winters.
When Ryan graduated from New Haven High School, he heard rumors of a rock climbing gym finally coming to Fort Wayne. He is still waiting for someone to come to Fort Wayne to start one.
When Collin studied at IUPUI he fell in love with rock climbing. Growing up in the Fort he had limited options. He has dreamed of a climbing gym coming to Fort Wayne.
When David moved from Germany to Fort Wayne, he joined the local climbing club that meets at the YMCA. He would drive 2 hours to Indy a couple times a week just to climb.

OWNER
He owns 2 homes but lives in a van. Edwin is currently deployed in the Middle East with the US Army.
A cause he cares about is Youth for Christ for teaching him how to have authentic relationships.

A Fort Wayne native, who loves to climb, travel, and embrace the outdoors.
A cause Collin cares about is supporting refugees and immigrants in Fort Wayne, guiding them to rebuild their lives with safety and dignity.

RYAN
There's nothing Ryan can't fix or build. Ryan brings years of engineering experience to maximize safety and space. You can catch him on the V1s or at his favorite local coffee shop, CONJURE. The OG one of course. IYKYK.

TYLER
Tyler will make friends no matter where he is. On top of climbing (shocker) one day he hopes to be able to combine his work in the media industry with the outdoor industry!
He wants to put the spotlight on Sea Shepherd Conservation Society for their continued efforts in ocean conservation.
FACILITIES MANAGER
AJ
Our very own Hagrid (Self Proclaimed) AJ keeps our facility looking clean and shiny for everyone who comes to climb.
AJ is passionate about Garrett Advancing Motion. When asked why he said: "I just really love big turbos"
HEAD SETTER
SETH
Seth is our head setter at Summit City Climbing Co. He's dedicated to make sure that we have ample amazing routes each and every week. He also works hard to accommodate Tyler's Marketing stunts on the wall each month.
AUSTIN
SETTER
Austin is one of our setters. He is also our resident baker. If you see a loaf of bread on our front desk or a batch of cookies it was probably him. Try some out and let him know how he did.
SETTER
LIAM
Liam is our designated AUX operator. He enjoys making music or playing instruments. When he's not making music, he's outdoors. Trailblazers is a mountain bike club in Fort Wayne. The club introduces the sport of mountain biking to kids.

JULIANA
Juliana has got a deep love for the outdoors and a keen sense of adventure. You'll find her outside making friends and memories along the way! Youth with a Mission is an organization which aims to translate the bible into the oral mother tongue of remote languages around the world!

BLAKE
Blake loves all things to do with creating and building things. He is the owner of his business HarmonyLLC so whatever odd jobs you may have Blake is always happy to help!
Fort Disc Golf Club is important to Blake because of the disc golf community it brings to the city of Fort Wayne.

Ella loves traveling and trying new things. She is a really big runner, keep an eye out for her while you're you might be on her route!

Geena is excited about the opportunity to see how much kids love climbing and learning how to climb. She loves spending time doing anything outside with her friends & family.
Geena wants to highlight Cotopaxi because of their dedication to crafting high quality gear while putting an emphasis on fair trade and sustainability.
